If, as I think we can all agree Sharkbait was doing legitmate business within DS1.
Devils Advocate (former policeman and forensic auditor): BoB alt/BoB spy sends a covering petition. GM Sharkbait has "legitimate" reason to "investigate" the POS "problem." Cover story made. Cover story holds.
I note that the petition itself hasn't been released. Who is to say the petition existed or was made by a legitimate player within the target corp? There simply is no evidence to clear Sharkbait. Despite the spin.
I think that only the release of the petition and the affirmation of the player can clear Sharkbait now.
Hmmmm... And to think that CCP does not want to list names... Maybe BOB spies being exposed is keeping Dev collars on?
I, however, will not jump to conclusions but that would explain a ton of things if true. ___

Originally by: Gnulpie Eve is dead, CCP just does not know it.
This is no threat or something. But to me it is pretty obvious that a large part of the playerbase lost trust in CCP and how they govern this game. Only because there are no other similar games like Eve on the market people stay here.
But as soon as some alternatives pop up on the market Eve will heavily lose members. It is a bitter thing that those devs who (obviously) enjoy so much playing Eve and which are in tight contact with Bob (and others maybe) are killing it with such behaviour. I don't think that those people say 'Hey, we have made such a pretty game here, now let us destroy it! Muhahahaha!'. It is just that they don't think about their actions and about the results of their doings. Or they might think that it is okay and nothing bad will result from it. But such thinking is not right and the loss of trust over the years (yes years, it is just boiling up all now - again) shows it.
What a pity.
Eve will only die if the GMs continue to intermingle with ingame politics and player intrests (Band Of Brothers). And/or if internal affairs doesn't hire on a few more folks with more "neutral" intrests.
I also find it funny that most of the older players here are the ones pointing fingers while the newer players tend to ignore all points brought to show against CCP to simply flame or put down the player rather than correct the issues addressed.
Pitiful, really. ___

Originally by: Borasao I'm wondering why they're wasting time acting like they are investigating anything... we all know that they are going to 'review all the relevant facts' and find 'nothing inappropriate was done' in any of the recent allegations and start a thread for each saying such. I guess the delays are to pretend that they're doing something.
Who knows... CCP could be taking this time to simply come up with a loop hole (excuse) out of this mess such as T20.
Either way, for a player just over his first six months or so of getting involved in Eve, this mess, both the aspects of Band Of Brothers (and their reputation), and of CCP in player affairs... it all looks massively depressing.
Well, it's Monday, this mess has gone on for a good few days now, perhaps tomorrow we'll have better answers from CCP and the other issues addressed will perhaps also be solved. ___
